Registration for Ballooniversity® 2027 is open now and will close June 15, 2027.
Cancellation Policy
If burton + BURTON cancels Ballooniversity® for any reason, the registration will be refunded 100%. If a registration is cancelled by an attendee, the following refund policy is in place:
On or Before Friday, June 25, 2027
Receive a full refund minus $25 administrative fee per attendee
After Friday, June 25, 2027
A refund will not be issued
Hotel Rates
There are special hotel rates for Ballooniversity® attendees. Visit the Hotels section on the Ballooniversity® page on the burton + BURTON® website and click through to each hotel for more information. All host hotels are within a reasonable walking distance to The Classic Center.
Transportation
The only transportation provided will be shuttles from The Classic Center to burton + BURTON® headquarters on Thursday evening. For all other additional transportation, you may want to consider a car rental service or Uber/Lyft. We recommend Groome Transportation for shuttle service to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
Meals
Scheduled Ballooniversity meals are included with your registration fee.
For Decorator’s Workshop, the following meals are included:

Wednesday + Thursday: Lunch + Dinner
For Ballooniversity® Classes, the following meals are included:
Thursday: Dinner
Friday: Lunch + Dinner
Saturday: Lunch + Dinner at Gala
The combination package of both Decorators’ Workshop and Ballooniversity® Classes includes all the following:

Wednesday–Friday: Lunch + Dinner
Saturday: Lunch + Dinner at Gala
Weather + Attire
Georgia is famous for its HOT summers. We recommend casual dress for your daytime attire. Shorts and t-shirts are great. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Also, regulating the temperature at The Classic Center is difficult; a sweater or light jacket will ensure your comfort while attending classes. The Saturday Night Gala is black-tie optional.
Guests of Participants
Due to room capacity issues, only registered Ballooniversity® participants are permitted at the Thursday and Friday evening events. Guests are invited to the Saturday Night Gala with paid admission. Additional guest tickets for the Saturday Night Gala are $150.
Children aged 12 and older are welcome at Ballooniversity® as registered participants. Children under 12 are not permitted.

Balloon Showcase
Balloon Showcase is a free community event held at the conclusion of Ballooniversity® on Sunday, August 1, 2027, at The Classic Center in Athens, Georgia. The incredible balloon creations designed during Ballooniversity® will remain on display for the public to experience, giving attendees the opportunity to have their work showcased for thousands of visitors.
This will be the second Balloon Showcase, following the tremendous success of the inaugural event in 2022, which welcomed more than 4,000 guests and raised $12,000 for local charities through community donations matched by burton + BURTON®. In 2027, donations will benefit The Boys & Girls Clubs of Athens, Extra Special People (ESP), and Georgia 4-H.
With expanded marketing and community outreach planned for 2027, we expect to welcome two to three times more visitors, making this an even bigger celebration of the creativity and talent showcased during Ballooniversity®.
