Inside Sales Representative
We are currently hiring multiple Inside Sales Representatives to add to our growing sales team. These are regular, full-time on-site positions. Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
You will play a key role in maintaining and developing meaningful relationships with customers and settng and meeting sales goals and objectives established with company leadership. You will act as an account manager, maintaining relationships with independent retailers throughout the USA.
Essential Job Functions:
- Providing store level support to corporate national accounts and implementing account executives' inititatives for corporate customers
- Answering customers' phone inquiries regarding products, prices, availability and product uses
- Assisting the customers in making product selections based on their needs; uses suggestive selling techniques to increases sales revenue
- Proactively contacting existing customers to increase sales volume and order frequency; using lead information, contacts potential businesses for sales opportunities
- Assisting wholesale customers placing orders in burton+BURTON showrooms at major gift markets in Atlanta and Dallas
Minimum Education and Experience:
Associates' degree with at least one year of sales experience
Graphic Designer
We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer for a high production Graphic Design department. This is a regular, full-time on-site position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Following dummy book instructions, completes page layout design of company catalogs and literature
- Incorporates understanding of font use, color theory and color coordination in page layout
- Conceptualizes and communicates precise descriptions of product in company literature
- Performs product image editing
- Multi-tasks well under tight production deadlines
Specific Skills
- Extensive working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifcally advanced skills in InDesign for page layout, and Photoshop skills for image editing. Apple desktop platform
- Acute attention to detail and good understanding of font use, color theory, and catalog page composition
- Printing layout knowledge, production understanding, and strong organizatonal and communication skills
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree required in related field
Preferred Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
Must provide online portfolio of InDesign projects with resume.
Product Development Artist
The Product Development Artist is a regular, full-time position working daily on-site in our growing creative at department. You will play a key role in conceptualizing and designing marketable, trend-right artwork for balloons, giftware, and home decor products.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conducting research to understand company objectives, target markets, and industry trends to develop innovative and trending product designs
- Making modifications to existing artwork as suggested through peer and management critique
- Periodically traveling to domestic and international trade shows and manufacturing facilities
Specific Skills:
- Be well-versed with working in a variety of mediums: gouache, watercolor, acrylic, digital, etc.
- Calligraphy and hand-lettering ability
- Possess broad knowledge and understanding of graphic/fine art standards
- Ability to create innovative, foward-thinking designs to attract customers
- Highly developed skills in both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator on a MAC platform
- Proficiency with digital design software
- Have a strong sense of understanding of color theory, design principles, and typography
- Ability to produce precise, accurate and vendor-ready art boards in a timely and efficient manner
Preferred Education: A Bachelor's degree, specifically in a creative field, is required.
Programmer/Analyst
We are seeking a programmer/analyst who will be responsible for helping make the information systems more effective, primarily through: 1) trouble shooting and solving problems, and 2) developing, writing, testing, and implementing new code. This position will train and work under the guidance of the senior programmer but will report to the department director.
Essential Job Functions:
- Code development will be in the Unibasic language and will interface with the National Business Computers, Inc. (NBCI) ERP system
- Create, develop, and alter programs to address business needs and business problems.
- Create reports and provide information to support organizational analysis and decision-making.
- Test programming changes and new software - both for self and for senior programmer.
- Respond to Help Desk requests where users need help due to problems with programs.
- Assist and perform AIX system administrator duties as required.
- Identify opportunities for making the business more efficient and, upon approval, implement solutions for those opportunities.
- Meet with management, end users, and IS colleagues to plan projects and assess project progression.
Required Skills:
- Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient with AIX (Unix) Operating System
- Experience with Unibasic programming language preferred
- Experience with NBCI ERP system a bonus
OR
- Experience with Business Basic Language or Pick Operating System
Visual Merchandiser
The Visual Merchandiser develops ideas or plans for merchandise displays and window decorations within company showrooms. Assembles and sets up displays, furniture, and/or other products in showroom space while utilizing colors, lights, pictures, and/or other accessories to display the product. Constructs or assembles displays or display components from fabric, glass, paper, or plastic, using hand tools or woodworking power tools.
Essential Job Functions:
- While assisting in trend search and product development, develop and plan commercial displays to entice and appeal to customers by arranging furniture, backdrops, merchandise or other accessories in window, store and showroom displays using prepared sketches; selects themes, lighting, colors, and/or props to be used.
- Install booths, exhibits, displays, carpets, and/or drapes as guided by building floor plan or specifications; assists with seasonal display program in various areas of company properties.
- Construct or assemble displays or display components from fabric, glass, paper, or plastic, using hand tools or woodworking power tools per specifications.
- Place prices or descriptive signs on backdrops, fixtures, merchandise or floor.
- Must be able to travel to Atlanta and Dallas showrooms for extended periods to prepare for bi-annual tradeshows; may be required to travel to other independent show locations as needed.
Skills Requirements:
- Proficient with desktop/laptop computers and in MS Office
- Possess basic carpentry and painting skills
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of visual design experience preferably in the gift and/or home decor industry.
