Warehouse

  Shipping Line Truck Loader - Warehouse (Day Shift)

Essential Job Functions:

  • Loads customer product boxes from shipping line conveyor belt onto FedEx and UPS delivery trucks.
  • Communicates shipping information to inside sales representatives and customers.
  • Interacts with walk-in customers and loads product into customer vehicles.
  • Using shipping line computer, finalizes customer orders.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, extended hours, or outside normal work schedule as needed.

 

Required Competencies:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English; proficient with general computer keyboarding.
  • Responsive, service-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred Education: High School diploma
  • Preferred Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience on a warehouse shipping line.
  Additional Warehouse Positions

Jobs Available:

  • Picker/Packer – Using voice picking technology, fulfils customer orders. Must be detail-oriented, possess a high level of energy and sense of urgency, and ability to maintain a focused walking pace throughout shift. 
  • Inflator – Inflates, cups and packs balloons. Requires fine hand/finger manipulation skills and ability to stand in one place throughout shift. 
  • Candy Assembly – assembles various components of giftable all-occasion candy containers using various containers, small balloons, candy, and ribbon curls/foil. Requires fine hand/finger manipulation skills and ability to stand in one place throughout shift. 
  • Receiving Order Picker/Forklift Operator – shelves incoming product and pulls product from bulk for stockers to replenish order bins in the picking/packing area. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. frequently.  Will be trained and certified to drive an order picker/forklift.  Must not be afraid of heights.

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred Education: High School diploma

  • Preferred Experience: Prior warehouse experience a plus.

Inside Sales

  Inside Sales Representative

Essential Job Functions:

  • Acts as an account manager, maintaining relationships with independent retailers throughout the United States.
  • Provides store level support to corporate accounts and implements account executives’ initiatives for corporate customers.
  • Handles incoming requests for product orders and information.
  • Assists wholesale customers placing orders in burton + BURTON showrooms at major gift markets in Atlanta, Dallas, and Las Vegas.
  • Guides wholesale customers through the burton + BURTON virtual showroom and assists customers placing showroom orders live, online.
  • Follows up on customer requests from trade shows and the company website to book showroom appointments and answer questions about products and services.
  • Assists with campaigns to obtain orders for upcoming seasons, and to encourage attendance at company educational events.

 

Required Competencies:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English; proficient with desktop/laptop/tablet computers and MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Proficiency with social media.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree; minimum Associate’s degree
  • Preferred Experience: A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Sales role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Office

  Business Analyst

Essential Job Functions:

Analytical:

  • Reviews and analyzes monthly sales reports.
  • Forecasts inventory to be purchased.
  • Monitors and analyzes in-stock data.
  • Analyzes and presents business data of all types.
  • Utilizes standard and custom system reports from backend ERP system.
  • Provides summaries of data and draws conclusions for management.
  • Designs business models for the purpose of analyzing corporate data and business opportunities.
  • Plans, leads, and participates in projects which could encompass any and all functional areas of operation. Meets with management and other stakeholders to review and assess project progression.
  • Provides support to projects and analysis in which the department director is involved.
  • Assumes responsibility for sales performance analysis for trade shows and prepares staffing levels for future shows for management review.
  • Builds and maintains customized reports in excel to solve needs within department

Product Management: 

  • Interacts with vendors and coordinates the ordering of new and existing products.
  • From within the warehouse, conducts detailed product inspections to identify supply chain quality issues; participates in cross-departmental efforts to identify and resolve quality concerns.
  • Negotiates returns and establishes corrective action plans with vendors.

Required Competencies:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English; proficient with desktop/laptop computers and MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Able to proof metrics and reporting to ensure accuracy of data prior to distributing it to others.

Education and Experience:

Preferred Education:  Bachelor’s degree, specifically in Business Management, or any other related field.

Preferred Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an analyst role or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Imports Inventory Clerk

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Checks out and in product samples to customers for sales and staff.
  • Delivers, picks up and disperses product and art work; maintains Art department’s samples log.
  • Opens and sorts product delivered by FedEx; maintains FedEx log.
  • Performs inventory control function in Imports warehouse; manages inventory system for Sales and Photo Studio.
  • Prepares product for show shelves insuring it is organized, correctly labeled and ready for pick up by the show team.
  • Prices discontinued items and arranges for delivery of these products to the Closeout Room for final sale.
  • Assists Product Managers by checking in vendor product samples from weekly containers, organizing vendor shelves and removing discontinued items, printing labels for products and setting up item shelf locations in computer system.
  • Ensures Imports staff has adequate supplies and materials to complete job responsibilities.

Functional Competencies:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English; proficient with desktop/laptop computers and MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Education and Experience:

Preferred Education:                     High school diploma.

Preferred Experience:                   A minimum of 1 year of experience in an inventory control role in a warehouse distribution capacity.
