Imports Assistant Product Manager

This trainee position will work directly under Imports Product Managers (PMs) to assist and train in the following essential job responsibilities. 

  • Supports PMs in product development, innovation and research
  • Forwards artwork for products in development to vendors; maintains contact with vendors throughout product life cycle
  • Accurately and completely maintains product records in UNIX system
  • Assists with literature layout process
  • Checks in vendor product samples from weekly containers, performs quality control on product received
  • Monitors and analyzes in-stock data and forecasts inventory levels
  • Conducts seasonal and everyday product reviews
  • Responds to questions from salespeople in a helpful and courteous manner
  • Requires occasional domestic and international travel

Experience and education:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English; proficient with desktop/laptop computers and MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to think strategically and execute methodically

Preferred Education:   Bachelor’s degree required, specifically in Business Management, Accounting, Economics, or any other related field

Preferred Experience:  A minimum of 2 years’ experience in inventory management, procurement or forecasting in a distribution capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience

Part-time Executive Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a Part-time Executive Administrative Assistant to provide personalized secretarial and administrative support in a well-organized and timely manner. You will work on a one-to-one basis on a variety of tasks related to busy executive’s working life and communication.

Experience and Education:  Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures; excellent knowledge of MS Office;  high level verbal and written communications skills.  Writing degree major preferred.   

Inside Sales Representative

This position is "inside-based" and set in a professional office environment although there may be some opportunity for domestic travel.  We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated, energetic, willing to put in the extra effort to grow their book of business, and are patient, understanding, empathetic, and attentive to any and all customer inquiries/needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answers customers' phone inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, and product uses 
  • Assists the customers in making product selections based on their needs; uses suggestive selling techniques to increase sales revenue
  • Contacts existing customers to increase sales volume and order frequency; using lead information, contacts potential businesses for sales opportunities
  • Meets all sales objectives as directed by the Call Center Manager and Sales Development Manager
  • May be required to assist customers in person at company showrooms in Atlanta, Dallas, and Las Vegas during major markets

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Associates Degree
  • Experience in inside sales a plus

Corporate Sales Administrative Assistant

The Sales Administrative Assistant must be a highly motivated individual who is eager and ready to accept additional responsibilities when needed. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Sales Manager, Corporate Account Executives, and Corporate Accounts Coordinator with a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, the ability to learn new computer programs, can multitask and complete projects in a timely manner. This person should demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem solving skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working directly with Purchasing, develops timely customer surveys revolving around the introduction of a new product
  • Assists Account Executives in the creation of custom catalogs and surveys for everyday and seasonal products; assists in the development and maintenance of the Custom Catalog list and filings; tracks non-custom catalog surveys in computer system
  • Provides key sales data to Account Executives for communication to corporate accounts
  • Assists in all aspects of the seasonal buy process for national accounts
  • Is proficient in determining freight costs, contract pricing, UPC setup, rebates, and various reporting functions
  • Serves as point of contact for corporate buyers and sales representatives when Account Executives are out of office
  • Provides backup support for the Corporate Accounts Coordinator job functions

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Sales Administration role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Past work experience must show proven analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Technical Support Specialist

The Technical Support Specialist must be a highly motivated individual who can manage and triage numerous projects and tasks with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor and demonstrates exceptional customer service and problem solving skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer and provide first-line response to helpdesk calls and provide desktop support and other aid to end users
  • Troubleshoot and repair different types of hardware
  • Configure and install new hardware such as PCs, Mac computers, printers, scanners and perform hardware updates such as memory and drive upgrades
  • Install new software and perform upgrades on operating systems, application software, anti-virus software and the like 
  • Help troubleshoot equipment and communication problems associated with IBM midrange computer system and peripheral devices such as terminals, impact printers, bar code printers and wireless handheld scanners
  • Help users more effectively use software, particularly the Microsoft Office series of products
  • Provide training to users on various hardware and software applications
  • Assist in the administration of the corporate network and associated servers   
  • Meet with management, end users, and IS colleagues to plan projects and assess project progression

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a computer support role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Past work experience must show proven analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Associates Degree required, specifically in Computer Support Specialist, or any other related field
